Mannochmore was constructed in 1971 to cope with increasing demand internationally for blends, and like its sister plant, Glenlossie, it has been closely associated with the Haig and Dimple brands. This exceptional single malt Scotch whisky, distilled in the heart of Speyside, has been aged to perfection in first fill oloroso sherry butts, delivering a vibrant and richly sherried profile.
Nose: Features intense notes of dark fruits like cherries, blackberries, Oloroso sherry and a hint of dark chocolate.
Palate: This whisky opens with a robust and spicy flavor profile: dried fruits, nutmeg, and clove. Stewed plums and raisins indicate aging in an Oloroso Sherry cask.
Finish: The finish is long, warmly satisfying, with spice and sherry-soaked oak.
